Like it or not, Biblical Christian principles and our Constitution are inseparable. Our nation was founded on the very principles found in the Bible by a group of men who relied on those teachings to create a system of government outlined in the U.S. Constitution. They created, for their posterity, a nation which should forever preserve the rights given to all from the Creator.
Our rights are not granted to us from the government, they are endowed from our Creator, and inasmuch we should only rely on the government to direct the affairs which are outlined in the Constitution. We are expected to be the watchmen of the government’s adherence to the Constitution. The government has long overstepped it’s reach into our lives because of our lack of understanding and apathy towards what the proper role of government is and where the powers for it are derived.
If we want real freedom and true liberty, it is incumbent upon us all to understand how our country was formed. We should not rely Continue reading
There is a new hashtag going big on Twitter this evening if anyone wants to check it out… #VotingForObamaBidenIsLike … I did my part with:
#VotingForObamaBidenIsLike fundamentally transforming your vote from the most important duty you have as an American into a forgotten memory
— Questioning… (@Questioning1776) August 13, 2012
I invite everyone to have some fun with it or at least check it out if you’re on Twitter. I posted about another dozen or so tweets using that hashtag. And for those who want to follow my stuff on Twitter, my Twitter ID is @Questioning1776.
The reality is, that as we move closer to the November elections and the Democrats see their grip on the system slip away, that we can expect them to pillage the government. They will make our tax money available to individuals or corporations that are closely tied to them personally, they will pass Progressive legislation or Executive Orders that harm free market business, and ramp up ideological warfare just to create angst in America. Like a little brat who got beat at basketball on the playground, they will stab the ball, push over the bench, and call the other kids names.
Case in point: Harry Reid… Continue reading
Why does the 2nd Amendment mean so much to our freedom to purchase all legal weapons today?
Compare the 2nd Amendment with the ‘Oath of Office for the President'(Article II, Section I, U.S Constitution).
The 2nd Amendment reads as follows…
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
The Oath of Office for the President(Article II, Section I, U.S Constitution) reads as follows…
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
If President Obama is making statements regarding putting an infringement on the 2nd Amendment then he is in violation of his sworn oath to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Restricting the purchase of guns is an affront to our Constitutional rights as is restricting the avenues by which we can purchase ammunition.
Furthermore, a spurious term like “assault weapons” is nothing more than an assault on the sensibilities of every American. It is a term not recognized by the gun industry for the production of guns, rather it was a term used in the 1994 “Assault Weapons Ban” and was an all-encompassing term for anything that looks scary. The truth of the matter is that the ambiguous nature of that term is designed to instill further fear amongst those who don’t own or have familiarity with guns. Remember, we all tend to fear that which we don’t know.
If we allow the government to restrict rights which we all have just because we don’t understand something or we have an irrational fear of something, then we are paving the way to allow more rights to be removed. Once the government is in the habit of controlling our lives to the extent of removing Constitutional rights, what is to stop them from removing rights that you personally enjoy? You may stand with the gun-control advocates on the left when it comes to guns but what happens when we elect a President on the right? What if a Republican wants to eliminate or restrict activities that you enjoy? See, he/she can do that because we have established a government practice of stripping away our rights as THEY see fit, didn’t we? America is a compromise in the sense that we agree to accept the rights of others whether we agree with them or not provided that they don’t interfere with our personal right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.
This is a long ways away from many of the other issues on the forefront of the news headlines(Chick-Fil-A) in that no one is attempting to restrict anyone from anything unlike the current push that our government is doing to restrict ALL OF US from enjoying a 2nd Amendment right. We must familiarize ourselves with what the government seeks to restrict us from… it isn’t as scary as what happens when the government has all of the rights and we have none.
For those who are not familiar with Jon McNaughton, he is a very talented artist who has painted several pieces recently expressing his perspective of what is happening to America. He also paints some wonderful paintings of Christ and scenic views as well. This particular piece is just a part of a much larger painting called “One Nation Under God” and it has a very interesting visual to it. This is the larger piece…
Please, for this interested in seeing more of his amazing work, or if you are interested in owning some of his work, visit his website here, McNaughton Art. I encourage everyone to visit it and please scroll through his work. Also, when you get to the political paintings, you can find out the stories behind each one, watch interviews with Mr. McNaughton and even use an interactive feature for specific details in some of the paintings.
This comes thanks to LD Jackson at Political Realities. Please take the time to go over and read the entire post.
TPC: This RIGHT here is the reason I get so angry and disgusted with politicians and the RNC or even the DNC…tell me again how you can free and unfettered elections when we have people pulling shenanigans “at the top”? Get both organizations OUT of elections…PERIOD…they are two of THE most corrupting influences on our political process today and frankly they are part of the larger problem we have with elections and election result…and yes, I’m a registered Republican…what? you want to know why? Glad to oblige…because both the RNC and DNC have made it nearly impossible for an independent to have a real say in an election…in most states I have lived in, in order to…

Yep…My question is, isn’t all tax stuff weird?
I love this quote almost as much as the Gippers quote of the phrase that should terrify you, “We’re from the government and we’re here to help”…the end of that statement, is “we’re here to help ourselves to your stuff.”
Breitbart dead at 43…my heart is truly saddened…
Andrew Breitbart has passed away at 43…our hearts go out to his family…
by Larry Solov
With a terrible feeling of pain and loss we announce the passing of Andrew Breitbart. Andrew passed away unexpectedly from natural causes shortly after midnight this morning in Los Angeles. We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior….
Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.
Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered…
