Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to my fellow bloggers, my loyal readers, and all Conservative Americans! 2010 has finally drawn to a close and with it comes the end of a nightmarish session of Congress. The last gasps of the 111th Congress had us all on the edge of our seats… The unending drama seemed like a poorly written movie with a cast of horrible actors. Thankfully, the damage was mitigated on some serious bills meanwhile we were left with some cliffhangers that will draw us into the new season. With an all new cast of Republicans in the House, we will be constantly bombarded with mainstream media attack after attack on freshman Tea Party candidates. I expect that they will not be alone in the spotlight of malignant liberal media… With the ’12 elections quickly becoming the new focus for improvement, undoubtedly any person whose name comes up as a candidate will undergo unscrupulous tabloid exposure. No strangers to that type of press already are Sarah Palin and Chris Christie. They’re almost locks for primary season and the media is seizing on the opportunity to run a school bus over them. I am hopeful for a few names to pop up in the coming year… Top of my list is John Thune, followed by Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, and of course seeing Ron Paul in the mix would be terrific. For me, my dream pairings would be any combination of Chris Christie, Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, and John Thune. I think having Sarah Palin, Ron Paul, and Bobby Jindal in the hunt will raise the bar for campaign platform stands. But I think the most important qualities will be proven fiscal sensability, strong ethical foundations, and a return to “original intent” from the Founders. Now that I lay it out like that… We need Ronald Reagan again!

We will be watching carefully to prevent the return of Cap and Trade, continued power grabs, and put an end to the global wealth redistribution. We will need to keep an eye on the land grabs all over the US, the increasingly “forced Islamization” of the US, and the dissolution of the moral fiber of the US. We have to be ever vigilant in our opposition to Obama circumventing Congress with more recess appointments, Executive Orders, and other nefarious Progressive power plays. And we have to watch our recently elected officials to make sure they do what we asked of them.

2011 will bring us new topics, new friends, and new rewards. I wish all of you a successful, healthy, safe year and I thank you for the support over the past year.

You have some interesting names out there, Eric. I especially like John Thune and Paul Ryan, although I think Ryan would do better as Secretary of the Treasure. We certainly do need some new blood.

Happy New Year to you and your family.

    • Thank you Larry. I agree with you about Ryan being a great candidate for Sec of Treasury… He is one of the strongest people in the entire Congress when it comes to fiscal sense and economic reasoning. My choices reflect the trending turn towards younger leaders in all areas of Government, including the Presidency now. It used to be that the majority of our Presidents came from Governor’s seats and after seeing what a three year Senator has for aptitude, now I see why. LOL
